ABOUT MJ

MJ Rodriguez grew up in rural Arkansas where she attended college and taught high school. She has always enjoyed writing, and as a teacher, she enjoyed teaching her students to write essays, poetry, and stories.

Soon after she retired her first novel was published, and a story included in that novel inspired her to start a children’s book series, Life in the Leaves, and later another series, Life in the Trees.

 MJ does volunteer work at her church, at a food bank, and substitutes at a local school, but much of her time is spent reading, writing, and illustrating her children’s books.
